It’s hard to imagine having a Metal Gear Solid game without David Hayter reprising his role as Snake, but let’s be honest, everyone moves on eventually.
Luckily for us, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has finally found the new voice of the iconic protagonist in the form of a well-known actor who is
very familiar with the role of counter-terrorism agent.
Actor Kiefer Sutherland (24, Touch, The Lost. Boys), is set to voice Solid Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid sequel. According to series creator Hideo Kojima:
I wanted Snake to have a more subdued performance expressed through subtle facial movements and tone of voice rather than words. Furthermore, the game takes. place in 1984 when Snake is 49 years old.
Therefore, we needed someone who.could genuinely convey both the facial and vocal qualities of a man in his late 40s. It’s different from anything we’ve done before.
So Metal Gear fans what do you think of Kiefer Sutherland as Solid snake? Do leave your thoughts below
